Graduated High school 1981 at Fort Osage HS, Independence Missouri. Worked at hardware store for several years. Went to Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg in 1983. Married in 1985. Graduated in 1987 with a BS degree in Graphic Arts. Worked as a pizza delivery person during college. After college moved to St. Louis and became catalog production coordinator at a large printing firm. Had a son in 1988. 1989 moved back to Warrensburg and worked on Masters Degree. Worked as a graduate teaching assistant for graphic arts department. Graduated 1990 with a Masters Degree in Industrial Technology. Moved to Sedalia and became a High School Vo-Tech teacher and taught Graphic Arts for 10 years. Started Hirst Arts mold business in July 1999. Resigned teaching position in 2001 and went into mold making business full-time.
